Lynne Harris, LMHC is an EMDRIA-Certified Therapist, Consultant-in-Training and a Facilitator-in-Training at The Center. Lynne is the owner of a private practice in the Berkshires in Massachusetts, and specializes in complex trauma and dissociation, attachment trauma, substance use disorders, and family therapy. Lynne received her bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College, her master’s in Public Health from Columbia University, and her master’s in counseling from Marymount University. Lynne is also a Registered Art Therapist and completed her master’s certificate at the George Washington University in Washington, DC. Lynne worked in various mental health settings with an early focus on adolescents and young adults before opening her private practice. She completed her EMDR training in 2010 with Dan Merlis, and subsequently trained at The Center in advanced EMDR trainings and consultation. In addition to using EMDR as a comprehensive therapy, Lynne integrates Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Ego State Psychotherapy, and the neurobiology of trauma in an EMDR-AIP framework. As an art therapist and Sensorimotor-trained, Lynne naturally incorporates somatic awareness and creative expression into her work. Lynne strives to foster learning and growth in an informed and empathic way. She is available for individual and group consultation in person and remotely.
