Emily Kukula

Emily Kukula, LPC, is an EMDR psychotherapist in Falls Church, Virginia. She specializes in working with adults who have experienced complex and/or single event trauma. Prior to private practice, Emily has worked within a federal law enforcement employee assistance program and community mental health practice with a forensic population. Currently, she works with adults in high pressure careers such as first responders, law enforcement officers, and healthcare providers as they navigate the sensitive nature of their work. 

Within The Center, Emily is a Consultant-In-Training and Facilitator-In-Training working under the mentorship of Deany Laliotis. Emily completed her EMDR Basic Training with The Center in 2023 and has completed both intermediate and advanced trainings since that time. 

Emily is deeply committed to the journey of lifelong learning and values the depth of understanding that EMDR offers, both personally and professionally. She is energized by the collaborative nature of the consultation process and the richness it adds to our work as clinicians. Emily is excited to offer consultation services both in person and online to newly trained clinicians who desire to build confidence, deepen their clinical skills, and enhance their craft.
