Lindsay McGarril

Lindsay McGarril, LMHC-D, is an EMDRIA Approved Therapist and Consultant-in-Training with Deany Laliotis. Lindsay works with adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds. She specializes in working with addictions, eating disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), supporting clients in healing from trauma, developing a stronger relationship with themselves, and moving toward lasting recovery. She brings a compassionate, trauma-informed perspective to her work, recognizing the complexity of each client’s experiences and the importance of individualized care.

Lindsay has also completed multiple advanced and master-level trainings through The Center and integrates a relational EMDR approach into her work with clients. Lindsay values the connection and collaboration fostered through this approach, using the therapeutic relationship as an important part of the healing process.

Lindsay also founded McGarril Mental Health Counseling, P.C., a private group practice based in New York City, in 2021. She is licensed to practice in New York, Connecticut, Vermont, and Florida. She is currently accepting therapists into her EMDR consultation practice where she focuses on the relationship between the therapist and client as part of the healing journey.
