Mary Culley

Mary Culley,  LCSW, is a certified EMDR therapist and an EMDRIA-approved consultant in training, currently mentored by Deany Lalliotis. She runs a private practice in Montclair, New Jersey, where she treats a range of issues including simple and complex trauma, recent traumatic events, dissociation and parts work, grief and loss, and attachment challenges. She completed her EMDR Basic Training in 2016 and earned her Somatic Experiencing certification in 2023. Over the years, she has also completed advanced trainings in EMDR and Inner Relational Focusing. In her clinical work, she primarily uses EMDR and integrates Somatic Experiencing as needed to facilitate healing, regulate the nervous system, and work within the memory network for adaptive outcomes.

Mary graduated from Fordham University Manhattan in 2006 and launched her career working with adolescents and families under the mentorship of the Daniel Minuchin at Dover’s school based program working extensively with Latino youth and their families. Currently, she values her diverse practice, which allows her to engage with people from various ethnicities, backgrounds, and professional fields. Her approach to consultation mirrors her work with clients incorporating her genuine curiosity, warmth, and understanding. She is especially dedicated to supporting emerging EMDR therapists as they build confidence with this modality.
