Sheryl Aaron, LICSW, is an EMDR psychotherapist in private practice in Washington, D.C., with specialties in trauma and perinatal mental health. She is an EMDRIA-approved Consultant and training facilitator with The Center. Sheryl holds a Master’s in Social Work from The Catholic University of America and a Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University. She is a graduate of the Ferentz Institute’s Trauma Certificate Program and completed specialized training in postpartum mood and anxiety disorders at the Postpartum Stress Center. Before starting her private practice, Sheryl worked as a psychotherapist at The Viva Center, a holistic wellness practice, and So Others Might Eat (SOME), Washington, D.C.’s largest homeless services organization. Sheryl is a member of EMDRIA, the Greater Washington Society for Clinical Social Work, and the DC Metro Perinatal Mental Health Collaborative and enjoys mentoring newly-trained clinicians in EMDR therapy.
