Deany has been training clinicians in EMDR therapy since 1993, working closely with Dr. Francine Shapiro until her death in 2019. She served as Director of Training at EMDR Institute Inc. and has since built The Center into one of the most respected EMDR training programs in the country. She is an EMDRIA-Approved Trainer, Certified Consultant, and a recurring contributor to EMDRIA's Go With That magazine and Let's Talk EMDR podcast. Deany has published several articles and book chapters and is currently writing her book on Relational EMDR Therapy on working with clients who struggle with relationship issues.
