Emma Lauer

Emma Lauer, LCSW is a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor at Find Your Shine, a group private practice in Tempe, AZ. Emma attended Arizona State University and received bachelor’s degrees in psychology and English literature before receiving her master’s degree in social work. She was trained in EMDR therapy in 2019.

Emma is an EMDRIA-Certified Therapist and EMDRIA-Approved Consultant-in-Training with Deany Laliotis. Emma’s passion lies in helping adolescents and adults heal from childhood trauma, self-harming behaviors, body image issues, and eating disorders. Emma is the author of DBT Skills for Highly Sensitive People, published by New Harbinger in July 2023. Emma previously worked in community mental health and has taught undergraduate and graduate-level courses in the School of Social Work at Arizona State University. 

Emma is excited to support both new and seasoned EMDR therapists in their personal and professional growth. She strives to create an environment for consultees that is warm, non-judgmental, supportive, and fun. Emma models compassion, curiosity, and continuous education to help support the development of other highly-skilled EMDR clinicians. Emma offers both group and individual consultation, in-person and online.
