Sam Schrager

Sam Schrager, LICSW is an EMDR psychotherapist in Pittsfield Massachusetts working with adults and adolescents.  He specializes in treating attachment issues and complex PTSD.  Sam is a Consultant-in-Training studying under Deany Laliotis and incorporates a more relational approach to treating developmental trauma. He has a background in working for non-profit agencies supporting diverse populations in New York City, Albany NY, and Boston MA. His work with the homeless/formerly homeless, as well as with clients in outpatient and inpatient clinical programs and in substance use treatment gives him a broad range of skills and perspectives that inform his work. Sam uses a holistic approach to support individuals in reconnecting to their inner capacities to move towards healing mind, body and spirit.

Sam is very passionate about ongoing training and consultation and values the role that continued lifelong learning has on personal as well as professional growth. He enjoys mentoring clinicians looking to hone their EMDR psychotherapy skills and holds a safe and open collaborative learning environment for consultees.  Sam offers a discounted rate for clinicians working towards their EMDRIA certification as an EMDR therapist.
