Basic: Part II - August - September

With more training time, built-in consultation, and continuous support, with our Basic Training you’ll gain the confidence, real-case experience, and guidance, without hidden costs.

• More Training Time: Two three-day trainings plus a two-day training give you more opportunity to learn and practice than the typical two three-day formats.
• Continuous Support: Case consultation is provided throughout the entire learning process, even during training days, so you can apply what you're learning with clients right away.
• Built-In Consultation: Included in your tuition and led by the same facilitators who teach you, giving you continuity and trusted guidance. You are also eligible to drop in on a monthly Q & A with Deany Laliotis, Director of The Center, as long as you are enrolled in the Basic Training.
• Real-Case Learning: Consultation focuses on your own cases, with facilitators following your progress and providing clinical guidance and support.
• No Hidden Costs: Unlike other programs where you must find and pay for your own consultants, everything you need is built in.
• Confidence to Practice: You are already integrating EMDR into your clinical practice by the end of Part 1.

Our Basic Training is organized into Part I & Part II.  Part I is typically offered over three consecutive days on Wednesdays-Fridays or Fridays-Sundays, with variable start times to accommodate different time zones. Part II is offered over five days - three consecutive days on Wednesdays-Fridays or Fridays-Sundays, and one month later, two days on Thursdays and Fridays, or Fridays-Saturdays, also with variable start times. Each training segment includes a didactic portion with lecture, discussion, and videotape demonstrations of EMDR skills and concepts. Trainees will practice EMDR methods with one another using real life issues as a way to learn the process as well as to understand it from a client's point of view. There is a case consultation component included in each training segment where trainees will learn to apply EMDR therapy with their clients as they learn.  There are three, 2-hour, post-training case consultation sessions included in the Part II to help you fully integrate what you're learning. Additionally, trainees can drop in on a monthly, 60-minute Q & A session with Founder and Director, Deany Laliotis while you are enrolled in the training.  The Center's EMDR Therapy Basic Training is a 6-month process that you can purchase as a bundle or schedule at your convenience — because we are committed to providing you with a solid foundation in the core elements of this powerful methodology.

Our original comprehensive training was eight days over six consecutive months, with 10.5 hours of case consultation bundled in. While it was a powerful learning model, we found that many participants needed even more flexibility to accommodate the realities of work, life, and client demands. Therefore, our Basic Training is now offered in two parts (Part I and Part II (with case consultation), allowing trainees to:

• Choose the timing that works for you
• Learn at your own pace
• Pay for each part separately or purchase the bundle and save

Your training materials are yours to keep. Forever. Video recordings of the Basic EMDR Training will be available for review for 9 months to support your learning experience. Training materials include two appendices with Worksheets and Forms for Practice as well as Resources to keep handy as a quick reference.

As an added bonus, all of your Basic EMDR Training materials will continue to be updated over time and can be accessed through your personal account on our website.

We understand that sometimes plans change. You are eligible for a refund, an exchange, or to withdraw from the training once it has begun under the following conditions:

• Cancellations 30 days or more before the start date of the training: Tuition will be refunded less the applicable administrative fee for the training option you register for.
  • Bundle (Parts I & II): $150 administrative fee
  • Part I: $50 administrative fee
  • Part II: $100 administrative fee
• Cancellations between 14 and 29 days before the start date of the training: Tuition will be refunded less the applicable administrative fee for the training option you register for.
  • Bundle (Parts I & II): $250 administrative fee
  • Part I: $100 administrative fee
  • Part II: $150 administrative fee
• Cancellations fewer than 14 days before the start date: Tuition is non-refundable. A one-time credit will be applied toward a future Basic Training less the applicable administrative fee.
  • Bundle (Parts I & II): $350 administrative fee
  • Part I: $150 administrative fee
  • Part II: $150 administrative fee
• Withdrawals after training has begun: No refunds or credits are available once training begins. You may elect a one-time re-enrollment in a future training at a reduced rate, as space allows.
  • Bundle (Parts I & II): $950
  • Part I: $375
  • Part II: $650
• An exchange can be offered for the same training up to 30 days or more before the start date on a space available basis, up to 6 months.
• Procedure for cancellations, withdrawals, or other changes: All requests for cancellations, schedule changes, or withdrawals must be submitted in writing to admin@emdrtherapy.com and will be reviewed. 

Yes!  Graduate students need to have completed their core coursework before they can apply.  Non-licensed clinicians on a licensing track are also eligible. You are required to affirm that you are currently practicing under the supervision of a licensed professional.

We are happy to offer individuals needing ADA accommodations.  Please contact us at admin@emdrtherapy.com at least 30 days prior to the start date of the training to make advance arrangements for your needs. We cannot ensure accommodations without adequate prior notification. 

Yes. If you work for a government agency or a private, non-profit organization for at least 30 hours per week, you qualify for an agency discount. Please contact our Training Coordinator at admin@emdrtherapy.com for more information.
