EMDR Consultant-in-Training (CIT) Group

This consultation group is for EMDRIA-certified therapists who are interested in becoming a mentor to other EMDR therapists at all levels. You will learn the art of helping clinicians from post-basic to the more experienced practitioner who wants ongoing support and guidance as they apply this psychotherapy model to complex cases. Your Master Consultant will not only help you learn to explain concepts and procedures in the way consultees can understand, but they will also teach you the art of mentorship. It's about the relationship with one's consultees, whether 1:1 or in a group, which requires discernment about how and when to intervene; when to offer more direction, when to facilitate the conversation, and when to help the therapist arrive at their own understanding.

This group package is for five, 2-hour sessions and is part of a two-package series of ten sessions, or 20 total hours. Maximum number of participants is 4. Please note: The structure of these groups allows for ample time to present consultation of consultation individually, so no additional sessions are necessary. The minimum hours for EMDRIA certification are two, 5-session packages that meet the requirements of both individual and group.

An interview with our Consultation Coordinator is part of the registration process to ensure a goodness of fit between consultant, consultee and the group. CIT groups are open twice a year in September and February, so apply early to secure your spot for the next rotation!
