Biography

Christina Allen, LCPC is an EMDRIA-approved Therapist and Consultant from Bel Air, Maryland who trained in EMDR therapy with Deany Laliotis and The Center for Excellence in EMDR Therapy in 2021. Since then, Christina has continued her training with The Center and has completed several advanced-level EMDR therapy courses. She is currently a Facilitator-in-Training under Deany Laliotis while maintaining a private group practice at The Center for Trauma, Stress, and Anxiety, LLC, as the Training and Education Director.

Christina has a broad range of clinical experiences working in various mental health settings, including non-profit, community-based outpatient programs, and emergency departments where she developed a special interest in working with first responders. In addition, she gained experience in crisis evaluation and assessment of suicide risk as part of working in crisis/inpatient settings. As the Clinical Director of a behavioral health program for the Baltimore Native American community, Christina was instrumental in setting up a treatment program to address the intergenerational transmission of historical trauma.

Currently, Christina’s practice focuses on complex trauma disorders, PTSD, and childhood attachment wounds stemming from developmental trauma. Christina believes in the power of EMDR therapy and the intersection of integrative healing approaches such as yoga, mindfulness, and meditation practices. As a life-long learner, Christina values the importance of supporting clinicians’ personal and professional growth. Christina offers EMDR consultation in-person and online.
