Ami Allen

Ami Allen, MS, LMFT is a licensed psychotherapist working with adults, adolescents and families in San Diego, California. She is an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Consultant. Ami received her Master’s degree in Marriage Family Therapy from San Diego State University in 2008 and completed her basic EMDR training in 2015. Having worked in a variety of settings including adolescent residential treatment, foster youth programs, and her current private practice, she is experienced in working with diverse populations. Additionally, Ami has received extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and families and has completed the Core Skills curriculum. 

Ami has trained extensively with Deany in Relational EMDR Therapy℠ and has been in ongoing Relational EMDR Therapy℠ consultation with Deany since 2018, all of which she uses to enrich her current practice incorporating a systemic framework to address attachment trauma.
